Although there is another photo tomorrow this is the last one of Tenerife. It shows the famous rock formation "Los Gigantes". This view was almost the view from the hotel room. And even though I saw this every day - I couldn't get enough of it...

Finally, another shot taken from a viewpoint. Here you can see the snow at the peak of the volcano I was talking about yesterday.

As you can see it was very sunny above the cloud border. But what you can't see - it was terribly cold. There also was snow right there where I was standing... Unbelievable.

sorry for the delay - I was quite busy the last few days.

Ok, the next days some impressions of the volcano "Pico del Teide". Let's start with a view from far away, taken from a viewpoint in the northwest of Tenerife.

The wind in El Medano was amazing.

No wonder why this area is deemed to be the paradise for surfer and everyone who's interested in any kind of water sports.

Garachico is a nice little town in the north of tenerife. There you can find a beautiful Old Town as well as interesting lava rock...

Because of the closeness of the city to the Atlantic Ocean there is almost always a nice swell to see...

Today again a shot of the natural swimming pool. But this time with a hint of how the water gets into the pool.... It's all that simple and truly natural.

In the city called "Icod de los Vinos" there is - next to the famous dragon tree - a little butterfly park which we visited.

As mentioned in the headline this was more or less the view from the poolbar...

Behind the clouds in the background lies the island "La Gomera". Unfortunately, this island was almost all the time hidden behind these clouds...

Today for a change a photograph of the local flora. I found this blossom somewhere at a hedge...

Although the photograph might suggest something different, only the northern part of Tenerife is green by nature.
Every tree, palm or grass in the south is watered.

Here you can see one of the famous natural swiming pools of Tenerife.
The water comes in through mighty waves. There are also fishes swimming in it.

I can teel you, it's wonderful refreshing to have a little bath in there...

Ok ok, I admit. I've been absent for quite a while but I promise improvement.

I've been on holiday for a week. The selected destination was Tenerife. So for the next few days you might get an impression how I saw the island.

Let's start with a classical one. The pool area of the hotel in twilight.
